This month, Grove Art publishes 22 new and 9 revised articles. New biographies cover contemporary artists including Nandipha Mntambo, known for her elegant, fluid figures in cowhide, and Pipo Nguyen-duy, whose Guggenheim Fellowship in 2011 yielded My East of Eden, a project focused on images of Vietnamese children, resilient in the face of disaster.
In this update Grove Art also publishes new research on materials conservation, including Conservation of Plastics and Conservation of Paper. New entries and major revisions cover Latin American artists such as innovative Uruguayan architect Rafael Vinoly, abstract artist of the Generación de la Ruptura, Vicente Rojo, and incomparable muralist José Clemente Orozco.
