In 1652, he is thought to have overseen the painting of frescoes in the Cathedral of the Archangel in the Kremlin. He was also involved in the decoration of the church of the Trinity of Nikitniki in Moscow. His style contains elements of the baroque that dominated Russian painting of the 17th century....
