Marie Zoë Greene-Mercier studied at the New Bauhaus, founded in Chicago by Moholy-Nagy and Archipenko after their exile. The architectural quality of her abstract sculptures and her taste for group creations, as well as the way she incorporated her personal work in built ensembles, undoubtedly had their roots in her Bauhaus training.
