Emma Packer

French metalworker and designer, active in England. He was one of the most influential ironworkers in England in the late 17th century and the early 18th. He arrived in England in 1689 as a Huguenot refugee, and there is no record of work by him in either France or in the Netherlands. His work is notable for its extravagant use of modelled leafwork, elaborate repoussé decoration that dominates the forged work and his fondness for such motifs as masks, acanthus leaves, swags and scrollwork.
