Carbonnier, Casimir clerical name frère François French , 19th century , male. Born 24 May 1787 , in Beauvais; died 1873 , in Paris. Painter. Studied under David and Ingres. Carbonnier developed leprosy in 1839 and, from that time on, never left his house in the Rue des Sèvres. Between 1815 and 1836 he had lived in London and exhibited on several occasions at the Royal Academy and at the British Institute, chiefly portrait miniatures.

Carbonnier, Jacques Paulin Charles French , 19th century , male. Born in Paris. Painter , engraver. Studied under Lalanne, Allongé and Harpignies and made his début at the Salon of 1887. Carbonnier was elected to membership of the Société des Artistes Français in 1883 , and exhibited engravings and lithographs at the Society. He also participated in the International Blanc et Noir Exhibition in 1886.
