Died 6 November 1400, in Bologna, buried in San Martino.


Michele Aignani was a member of the Carmelite order, and published theological works under the name of Fra Michele de Bolonia. According to Ghirardacci he was also a sculptor and the Carmelite church of S Martino Maggiore contains a number of his works. After entering holy orders he went to study in Paris and was awarded a doctorate. His portrait, which he carved himself, decorates his tombstone in front of the high altar chapel....
