Silvio Pasotti studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti Carrara in Bergamo and then at the Italian institute of graphic art, where he began experimenting with lithography. He subsequently went to Spain before settling in France. His painting combines a figurative aspect in a pop art style with a certain surrealist choice of some of his subjects. He associates and opposes natural elements and artificial, disruptive ones in the same image. He often starts from commonplace features of illustration, and then treats and assembles them in a fantasy vision.
