John Oliver may have been the son of the painter Isaac Oliver, or a descendant of James I's master mason, John Oliver. He made his reputation as a stained-glass artist and there are windows by him in Northill Church (dated 1664) and Lambeth (1669), as well as the Percy arms at Petworth. ...
