Balthasar Moncornet lived mainly in Paris, in the St-Marcel area, in the Rue des Gobelins. After his death, his wife continued the engraving business and lived in Rue St-Jacques, opposite St-Yves. He was the father of Jean Moncornet, who also continued in his trade. His output was considerable, comprising examples of all genres.
