Domingo Candia's painting is strongly influenced by the Cubists, particularly Braque. He composed still-lifes using very simple everyday objects, not hesitating to sacrifice superficial appearance in favour of artistic organisation. He took the same liberties with his landscapes, which he forcefully recomposed depending on the format to be adopted.
