Born 8 May 1859, in St-Symphorien-de-Lay (Loire); died 8 February 1948, in Lyons.

Painter, watercolourist, draughtsman. Religious subjects, landscapes, landscapes with figures, urban views. Wall decorations, church decoration.

Antoine Barbier painted many decorative works including a Flight into Egypt for the church of Matarieh in Cairo and various works for the Assembly (Sobranie) in Sofia and the École Malesherbes in Paris. He ran courses from time to time in watercolour painting from nature in France, Switzerland and England....
