The pen drawings of Altun's manuscripts are valuable documents in the history of Bavarian painting in the High Romanesque style; they are to be found in the manuscripts of the court and state library of Munich. Several Weihenstefan manuscripts are preserved that contain illustrations of Altun offering the book to the patron saint of his monastery....
