Grove Art

This month, Grove Art publishes a new article on the Global Market for Contemporary Art, as well as 36 updated and revised entries. Revised scholarship includes biographies such as Romare Bearden, Kerry James Marshall, and Siah Armajani. Updated entries in the field of modern and contemporary Chinese art include Huang Yongyu, Li Keran, Liu Hung, Ting Shao Kuang, Yang Yanping, the Yunnan School, and Zeng Shanqing. The dictionary also publishes an extensive update to the article on Auctions. In addition, this update includes 73 emendations as part of our regular corrections process.

Benezit

This month Benezit publishes 29 new artist biographies, featuring contemporary women artists such as Humaira Abid, Lisa Anne Auerbach, Dorothy Dehner, Las Hermanas Iglesias, Louisa Matthíasdóttir, Melody Owen, Lucie Rie, Kim Rugg, Clarissa Sligh, Frances Stark, May Stevens, Hito Steyerl, Canan Tolon, and Idelle Weber. New entries also include contemporary artists from Eastern Europe such as Sergey Karev, Anfim Khanykov, Gelya Pisareva, Yuliy Rybakov, and Vladimir Shinkarev.
