Psalter and Hours (434 fols; New York, Morgan Lib., MS. M. 729) made in Amiensc. 1290–1297. With 39 surviving full-page miniatures and 66 historiated initials and calendar illustrations, this is one of the most densely illustrated books of the period. The first owner of the Hours section is depicted in a spectacular full-page miniature, wearing heraldic robes and praying before a tiny statue of the Virgin and Child placed on an altar.
