Belgian architect. He was the son of the architect Jean-Baptiste Janssens and studied architecture under Tieleman-Frans Suys (1844–8) in the Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts, Brussels. In 1851, after a period of study in England, he built a public bath building (destr.) at Rue des Tanneurs in the Marolles district of Brussels, one of the first examples of public baths and laundries constructed for working-class use.
