Craig Wood studied at Goldsmiths College in London from 1986 to 1989 and settled in West Wales in 1995. He works in a variety of media, including sculpture, video, photography, installation and ceramics. His work is related to postminimalism and points to the architectural mechanisms of the exhibition space and the means by which they dictate the process of seeing and reading art. He also examines the social and psychological charge attributed to certain objects and encourages the viewer to meditate in a detached manner on those peripheral, insignificant objects that are otherwise overlooked.
