Born 19 May 1839, in Genets; died 1929.

Painter. History painting, genre scenes.

Adolphe Alexandre Lesrel was influenced by the artistic design and treatment of Meissonier and painted in this master's style. A member of the Salon des Artistes Français from 1885, he was awarded an honourable mention at the Exposition Universelle of 1889. He became an associate member of the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts in 1980 and exhibited at its Salon....
