Macris, Constantin Georges Egyptian , 20th century , male . Active in France. Born 1919 , in Cairo , to Greek parents; died 1984 . Painter . Constantin Macris studied under an academic painter of the Munich School. During World War II, he served in the Greek air force. In 1948 , he left Greece for Paris and worked in Fernand Léger's studio. From 1957 to 1960 , he lived in Bergen in the Netherlands before settling in Chevreuse, near Paris. He worked in brush-strokes which, though uneven, remain very much in Mondrian's Neo-Plastic style. Macris exhibited regularly
