Mazurier was a student of Fernand Cormon at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. From an early stage, he specialised in the delicate restorations of old paintings and in large decorations on classical themes. He worked on the reproduction of French Romanesque frescoes for the Musée des Monuments Français du Palais de Chaillot, and he also received the commission for the decoration of the royal palace of Belgrade, where he applied free variations to the patterns of the eighteenth century....
