Clément Massier belonged to a famous family of ceramicists going back to Pierre Massier (1707-1748). He set up his studios in Golf Juan in 1883. He executed floral and animal themes in ceramic decorations. He was known for creating earthenware with metallic highlights, as well as barbotin décors.
