Born probably in 1540 or 1542 or 1543, in San Angelo in Vado; died 20 July 1609, in Ancona.

Painter, draughtsman, writer. History painting, religious subjects, portraits.

Federico Zuccaro was the younger brother of Taddeo Zuccaro, under whom he studied in Rome. He was soon qualified to assist his brother and, with the consent of Pope Pius IV, worked alongside Taddeo and Barocci on the decoration of the Belvedere. Zuccaro painted, among other compositions: ...
