Sculptor, painter.

The son of the Romantic poet, Juan Zorrilla de San Martin who wrote of the exploits of the heroes of Uruguayan independence and defended the Catholic cause in his writings, José Luis gained a solid artistic training. His taste led him towards classical art. His paintings and sculptures are inspired by ancient art and do not conform to modern styles.
