Baptised 8 September 1755 in Antwerp; died 17 November 1830.

Painter, art restorer. Genre scenes, local scenes (kermesses), rustic scenes, church interiors, landscapes with figures, landscapes, animals.

Petrus Johann van Regemorter trained at the Academie voor Schone Kunsten in Antwerp and worked extensively in private collections. He painted local genre scenes (kermesses) in the tradition of David Teniers, Adriaen van Ostade and Jan Steen and excelled in the representation of moonlit scenes.
