Anzolino da Brescia or Angelo da Brescialocked


Italian, 15th century, male.

Active in Pavia.


In 1468, Anzolino da Brescia executed an altarpiece with terracotta low reliefs for the Eremitani church in Milan. He is also believed to be the author of similar reliefs at the Pavia Charterhouse. He may be the stonecutter called Anzolino who executed carvings for two mausoleums in Mantua in the early 16th century....
