Japanese architect. He graduated from the Civil Engineering Department of Ritsumeikan University, Kyoto, in 1957 and worked for two years at the Engineering Bureau of Kyoto University. From 1959 to 1976 he was a designer for Takenaka Komuten Co. Ltd, one of the largest construction companies in Japan, where he became vice-president.
